Watched the Crimson Pirate last night with my dad.  Impressive stunts.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

the new Karate Kid- if I didn't already know this was a vehicle for Will Smith's kid I'd be thinking that the studio execs had said "Right, so karate kid but in China...so karate isn't actually involved at all....hmm....but we want to keep the title....I know! If we're dropping the karate lets change the guy into an actual kid!!!". They really do seem much younger than the young adults of the proper Karate Kid, which is...a bit silly for much of what goes on. Despite raping a classic it is quite decent.

Unknown. Liam Neeson gets into some kind of freaky shit every time he goes to Europe it seems. This time he gets a bonk on the head while in a taxi accident and doesn't get amnesia, but everyone else doesn't remember him. Big Twist there. :p actually some decent action, January Jones seems more comfortable in her small wife role than she did as Emma Frost. She's more of a soft wood here than a hard wood, as far as her acting goes.

OKay actioner, nothing amazing about the film though.

6.5 huge car accidents you can just walk away from without the Surete even noticing outta 10

Yeah, I liked Unknown too, but not as much as I liked Taken.  There's just something about Liam Neeson that makes me enjoy watching him terrorize Europe.  Bruno Ganz's Stazi character was a small-ish role, but very well-done.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.
