That was the great thing about Tony Soprano, and what made him such a great character;  you feel empathy for him, and then *wham* his character is unrepentantly feral and he commits acts that are vicious and swift with absolutely no pause for consideration.
I just love this sentence.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Drakken's comments about her boob size led me to mistake her for Christina Hendricks, and you can't seriously dislike her.

It was my mistake.

That's who I thought he was talking about...who's the other one then....quick google check...Ah, OK..the wife.

But that's the beauty of it. You're supposed to hate her. She's an annoying prat. You can see why he cheats on her. Wait till you hit the next couple seasons.

Uh, no.

He cheats on her because he's physically unable to stop himself. Even after his first brush with the risk of divorce (which he obviously doesn't want) he still can't keep himself from screwing around. She has nothing to do with it whatsoever.

That she buys all his lies for a while is understandable, but that you do while you have the whole picture is un-fucking-acceptable.  :P

I was making a point. If I were him I'd cheat on her. She's an annoying little bitch.

Though she is hot.

Her sassy nature is obviously one. What's the other?  :hmm:

No, I got it the first time.

She has fabulous qualities.

And you're making the classic excuses aswell. "Bitch had it coming for dressing like that."

If you'll note, a large contribution to her neurosis is the fact that she suspects, and that he more or less completely ignores her for long stretches while he's busy "working late".

In fact, aside from being a bit insecure and moody (probably owing to depression) she seems to be the very image of a perfect wife.

Can't believe you're A)taking this seriously.
B) Defending her.

C)...here's another pic:

I just think it's fucked up that her character should take so much shit when it's obvious that her bitchyness is simply a response to getting fucked over by that Dick.  :hmm:

That isn't at all the same.

Just watched the lastest Allen postcard-movie, Midnight in Paris. Now I feel all cultured and shit.

7 time travels to your golden age of choice out of 10.
Nice.  I almost went to see that this past weekend, but the timing didn't work out.  It looks pretty good, and I love that era.

I enjoyed it more than I thought, hadn't read almost anything about the movie and was happily surprised by the main argument, even if it was a bit show-offy. I thought it'd be a more straight up Allen rom-com.

The excuses are. She's being taken advantage of, and the viewers are very quick to blame it on her because "she's a bitch".

I'd think you of all Languishites would be able to appreciate this.

Not in the same context though. I was merely saying that she's written to be an unlikable character. Yes her husband's a douchebag, but she becomes really annoying, especially later in the series.
