No love for 10 Things I Hate About You? :(

Just kidding. Throne of Blood was awesomesauce.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

The Brain

Haven't seen Throne of Blood since the 80s. But it's nice.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Just finished Throne of Blood.

It's MacBeth done samurai-style by Kurosawa. Of all the Shakespeare-with-the-setting-changed movies I've ever seen, this one is the best by far. I kinda understand why it's so cliche for first-year film students at USC to love this guy. The arrow scene at the end made me laugh.

Those arrows in the end scene, they were real arrows. that is why Toshiro Mifune's act was so crazed, because it wasn't an act: he was genuinely shit scared to be hit by stray arrows as soon as he saw that they could be deadly.

Down Terrace... great little criminal movie that plays out like a crook version of My Dinner With Andre, sort of, at least in terms of the kinds of conversations, and the level of character development. keeps you guessing all the way through. Well paced. Likely needs a few viewings to catch it all. low rent no vista "In Bruges".

8.4365 stoner crime families just trying to get by, like, outta 10
:p

Scipio

Give Em Hell, Malone.

WTF crazy violence with overdone noir schtick, and an amazing cast that doesn't quite gell.  3 razorblade blowjobs out of 5.
What I speak out of my mouth is the truth.  It burns like fire.

There you go, giving a fuck when it ain't your turn to give a fuck.
-Every cop, The Wire

Just watched Destination: Moon.  Made in 1950.  I was impressed by how close the science was to real life.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Admiral Yi

Watched a couple episodes of The Larry Sanders Show last night.  In the credits the name Jud Aptarow (sp? what a fucked up name) caught my eye.

So are you trying to be stupid, or what?  Also, the Thing does not take place in the arctic.
