Obligatory:

I seem to recall that the whole story of Tetris and its licensing around the world was a bit of a mess/crazy, so it seems suited as topic of a TV show.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Bruce Willis has now been diagnosed with dementia. Guys had a rough couple of years.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Yikes. I assume it must be linked to his previously diagnosed condition. Mental degradation is surely one of the worst things that can happen to a person...

Ah. I'd heard of a tetris film being in development and you know, it actually makes a lot more sense seeing this.
I couldn't help but figure they were trying to adapt the actual game.

His agent has a lot of explaining to do.

Saw Ant Man.  We all enjoyed it.  Don't see what the bad reviews are about.  It isn't high concept sci fi, but it was a fun silly ride.
PDH!

The Brain

The Forgotten Valley, S1. Group of 20-somethings stumble into an isolated hipster settlement. It's competently done overall, the old "norms encountering group of weirdos isolated by mysterious forces" has certainly been done worse than here. The eventual reveal isn't cringe. NB it's very dark, as in poorly lit, so if you're not watching it in a darkened room you sometimes have to guess what's happening on screen.
Women want me. Men want to be with me.

Shanghai Express (1932)

The fourth Marlene Dietrich/Josef von Sternberg; this doesn't have much of a story (a group of strangers from all different strata of society travel by train; two of the travelers used to be lovers; the train is stopped by a warlord; hilarity ensues) but von Sternberg makes an incredibly atmospheric piece.  The ensemble cast does a good job, so Marlene Dietrich doesn't stand out as much as she did in Dishonored (in fact Ana May Wong seems to upstage her, even though von Sternberg clearly designs his camera and lighting around Dietrich.)

By the standards of the day (and even much later) this had a large Chinese cast; the only white washed character is Warner Oland (best known as Charlie Chan) who plays the evil warlord.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Started watching You People.  35 Jewish guy (Jonah Goldberg) hooks up with and proposes to black girl (don't know her name).  Hilarity ensues.  I love me some Jewish family banter (mom is Julia Louise Dreyfus and dad is David Duchovny in a somewhat shocking twilight of his career role) but I don't get any of the pop culture references and the chick is not hott.  I might try a little more but prospects of completion are dim.  Girl's dad is Eddy Murphy being a little funny but not very.

Somehow, Sauron has returned?

I mean, at least with RoP there was a fertile ground of stories to be told, even if the result was... not very good. But what's left to tell of the universe of the WB movies? the Hobbit trilogy was already padded with tiresome crap.
