Quote from: Admiral Yi on July 24, 2020, 07:12:30 PM:o I thought it was great.

I watched the first half-hour of 'Three billboards outside ebbing missouri' and I too thought it was good.

Maybe when I've finished it this evening I'll suddenly swing over to Josqu negative view, but unlikely.  :D

I remember virtually nothing of the film so I can't comment.
When I try to remember I get someone stuck up a billboard when their ladder is stolen but I'm sure that's a different film.

mongers

A Brian de Palma film, often fun and it's got Morricone doing the music so worth a go, man is
'Mission to Mars' a turkey or what; who knew 21st space expedition would be largely constructed out of wood.

And the utterly predictable dialogue and low impact acting also makes it a low CO2 pollution event, Don Cheadle fails least, but still seems embarassed.

In a Youtube channel I follow that is devoted to cult, terror, sci-fi, B movies and Z movies they've just done a tournament to decide who is the deadliest Bond girl.

Just to see the forum's take on the argument, who do you think is the deadliest one? Not the best character or the most alluring one, but the deadliest in combat based on what you see on the screen.

For the Youtube guys it was Michelle Yeoh's Wai Lin from Tomorrow Never Dies,

She was in contention.  I think she made it to the QF.

Any love for maybe the stupidest named bond villain of all, Xenia Onatopp?

My boys are going through a Simpsons rewatch.  Tonight was "A Fish Called Selma".

Dammit that was some funny, funny stuff.

Even though I had to explain to my kid Josh that a fetish in this case meant that Troy McClure was sexually attracted to fishes.  Words I never thought I would have to utter.

I randomly watched kursk the last mission. Quite a decent film considering I knew how it would go.
All the more relevant in light of Ukraine.

Also saw the start of a film called infinite before I was called away. If was very silly and was becoming a hate watch.

They were there too, made it to the QF as well, in which they were defeated by another tag team.

The stupidest name has lots of contenders, what with Pussy Galore, Plenty O'Toole, Holly Goodhead or Kissy Suzuki also in contention.

As for Onatopp's tournament fate... she was the other finalist.

Out of my head my bets would've been Rosa Klebb or Mayday. Klebb has one of my favorite camp-Bond scenes of all time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVowL8yrZVM&ab_channel=JamesBond007

I remember Sophie Marceau's character wanted to blow up Istambul or something like that, which probably puts her as *potentially* the deadliest.

Both Klebb and Mayday did remarkably well, in fact I believe they were one of the QF matches.

Love the "henchmen" school scene.
