Apparently it's a recent bug, and they're aware of it.

Funny that I picked tonight to try and do that mission.  I'd never been to the Neutral Zone before now.

I should!  Hey Katmai, we need to get Camper to play this game    I'm closing in on my next tier of ship too...  I find the 3rd tier science vessels to be hideously ugly, and may go with a cruiser.

They do look pretty fugly, don't they...

How are you finding your science vessel though?

So far I've been enjoying them and having no issue taking out ships... of course I haven't played a cruiser or escort, so I can't really make a good comparison

21-30 TNG
31-40 DS9
40+ the futuristic default ones
