Edit: only a north american could with a straight face say that a distance of more that a thousand miles is "not that much". 

The difference if flying time is only about 3-4 hours depending on weather/wind conditions which is not that much when considering the flight to Toronto can take 5-6 hours depending on those same conditions.

In other words, for me sitting in Vancouver, why would I go to Toronto when I can be in London for about the same price and not much more travelling time.
