While I'm predictably jumping on this the first time the data looks worse for the euros, I'd like to point out the following daily case figures per million of population as of October 15:

UK: 290.55
EU: 200.48
US: 179.41

Population density though. You'd expect Europe to normally be doing worse. That America has been doing so bad is quite the achievement
