@realDonaldTrump
Are you allowed to impeach a president for gross incompetence?

It will not matter. If it is determined he legally has to go, he will have to be forced.

There will be blood.

I might be able to shake Race Bannon's hand tomorrow when he visits Wright Patt.

Maybe if he wanders out of the base.

Yeah, they keep putting Washington so high for some reason.

If he'd remained loyal to his king and country, the Americans wouldn't be in this mess now.  :D

While admittedly better than ours, it isn't as though British politics are a model to emulate at the moment.  :P
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

At some point defending the "traditional" becomes defending the indefensible.   The values of community are, for a conservative in the Burke tradition, what is important.  As a society we, at least in Canada and most of the US, have recognized that marriage is more than a biblical definition.  Taking a position against that wider definition based on religious belief is reactionary.  And I suspect the reason you think Pence is "bland" is because you share the same reactionary views.  The sort of  reactionary views that arguably run counter to the kind of conservatism Burke embraced.

BB does not share those though. I mean I cannot see BB righteously persecuting Buddha like the Republicans are doing across this country. BB is just loyal to the Republican party because they are a brother conservative party. He seems able to overlook their dangerous radicalism.

BB presents an interesting case.  On the one hand, I think you are correct that he would not think to persecute Buddha, but somehow he also defends Pense's views and characterizes them as "bland".  I think it is more than loyalty to party affiliation.  I think it is a kind of reckless blindness.

You know, the Republican partisans voted Republican.

Well, yeah, D'oh.  And the Democratic partisans voted Democratic.  As always, it was the swing voters who decided the Presidential election.
Well, one could (successfully) argue that the Democrats did not put forward a nutjob for the position of head of State.  It seems to me that when they did in the past had weaker candidates, the Democrats rallied toward the most competent/least incompetent candidate.  Maybe that's just a time long past and forgotten for both sides.

Well, Wiccans are annoying.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Did you counter with something or did you just go with a nod and smile?

Sometimes you might just want to hear their take and get back to beer and non-political topics. Other times you might enjoy busting out a rousing "impeach the feckless buffoon" diatribe. I dunno how you like to relate to the local huckleberries.
