Italy - Sweden is really dull.

Of course it is. Italy is playing.

They are not that side anymore though. The catenaccio glory days are long gone.

Heck, some good ole' Italian gamesmanship and cynical play would have more entertainment value than this drudgery.

Pedrito

What a snoozefest.

Not anymore. Zlatan has to wake up now.

Well, at least there was a lovely goal at the end of all that sluggishness.

Duque de Bragança

Well, this time the referee swiftly booked a goalkeeper losing too much time.

I don't know man. Bore us all to death then somehow win 1-0 is pretty traditional.

Takes two to dance. Sweden went along with it.

You, as a France-fan, better not talk.

:face:

So, penalty or no penalty? The Swede flops but his jersey was held. Indirect freekick in the box?

PS: the ice hockey term of embellishment fits better in this case than flops or dives.  :hmm:

Wait a second.  So Wales and Northern Ireland are in the competition.  But the Netherlands is not?

Yep, Italy weren't set up that defensively. Sweden just didn't attempt to scratch them, they were really poor.

And Hungary, and Albania, and Iceland...

Pedrito

Italy's defense did not concede a single shot on target during the match
