I was already pessimistic about stagnant Europe, what with Russian encroachment from the east and massive migrations from the south/southeast, but did not expect disunion from the north.  Prepare for depression and/or war!

I think I agree. I see how it works in theory, but in practice I think it would throw fuel on the fire in other countries with populist Euroscepticism. Unless the EU can permanently cripple UK growth - a la Greece - which I don't think it can I also don't think the results will be so dire that they'll match the threats or put people in other countries off.
