This goes for something I've pondered about organics generally, but does the bio-chicken actually taste better than the standard chicken?  Or is it just an ethical decision?

Here it does taste better because to get the national organic quality mark you can't "marinate it naturally" which all the chicken producers otherwise do, it's basically injecting the meat with water to make it appear meatier.

Do you have bad tasting water?

The issue with water in meat is that it will evaporate when you cook it, so that big juicy steak you got at the supermarket will fiddle to a much smaller thing after cooking, but you have paid that water's weight as if it was meat.

He noted that taste was an issue. If it isn't, seems like the de-plumped non-organic might still be a better value than expensive never-plumped organic.

Fried chicken is not an American fast-food export FFS.

I haven't made a scientific study, but the cheap water pumped chicken is always a bit disappointing compared to the non-plumped organic or otherwise. I'm willing to accept that it might be mental and I wouldn't be able to taste the difference in a blind test, but taste is taste.

Yes, I'm sure the organic producers appreciate your taste. :D

Well, it's almost impossible to get organically produced chicken here since the local supermarket changed owner. :(

They use salt water, for one. Something you can definitely do without.

I paid as little attention as I could to the Casey Anthony trial; so I was amazed this morning to see that Baez would be defending Aaron Hernandez at his next murder trial.  I didn't realize Joan Baez had gotten her attorney's license (or that Aaron Hernandez was a victim of social injustice, for that matter.)

Apparently they meant Jose Baez.  I see that, once again, I'm a little behind the times.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Savonarola

I've been reviewing Italian and I came across the word arrabbiare (anger) the other day.  I was disappointed to learn that it came from the Latin word for rage or madness (in fact, our root word for "Rabies") and not an insult directed at Arabs.  Still it's easy to remember:  Tutti gli arabi sono arrabbiati; vota per Trump.  (Un scherzo, un scherzo.)

Wow that's a lot of very charismatic altar boys running around out there.
