I am confused as to why there is so much excitement about that.

The boss gave us the day off, we have the right to be excited.

U jelly?

No problem with being excited, just looked a bit crazed. :D

A no, not really jealous. I'll be off that entire week and then some. :)

See? Immigrants do flout the law, and want nothing more than to change Britain's culture. :o

Actually, I have only started rampant jaywalking since arriving here and studying the local cultural behaviour patterns. Nobody gives a rat's ass about pedestrians' traffic lights.

For cars they're the law, for people they're just recommendations.
I was totally shocked when I got to japan and found out it was illegal to cross at a red light there.
It's against the law in America too, it's just very rarely enforced

Doesn't it eat you up inside that your freedom is being taken away?

Just kidding, Tim. You've got a big heart. Tho I wish you'd quit calling me a monster just because our political beliefs differ.

I'm off on Xmas..BFD.  Means I get to work 10 hr days because I don't get holiday.pay.

So yes, I am.

At least your conscience is clear that you're not taking advantage of a poor excuse for picking a man's pocket every 25th of December.

You could always just take less money.

Sure, that seems sound.

In that town I lived in Mass, the police would stop to let you jaywalk. They didn't even ticket afterward. :)

Today I read something which was both stupid and utter genius at the same time- Japan's flag is a pie chart of how much Japan is Japan.

Tim's a good dude, except for what he did to Sage Rosenfels a few years ago.  That was pretty harsh.

"The Texans are kicking the Colts asses!" Just a few minutes later, the Rosencopter took flight.

Well today was totally random at work.  I took my girlfriends in AP out to lunch at a Cuban place and one of them ordered this chicken thing that, when it was brought to the table, looked like a schnitzel.  I was like "Is that a schnitzel?" and she was like "You eat schnitzel a lot?" and suddenly she was telling me that she's a German Texan, which fascinated me because it's the one German-American ethnic group I've never met a member of before.  From that point on the whole rest of the lunch revolved around German-American discussions and such fascinating items as hog maw (real Germans call this 'saumangen' I believe), scrapple, and the like.

The discussion continued via IMs until 5 pm.  So between writing database extracts I was IMing "So my paternal line came from Kreuznach which was burned down in 1690" and "I thought the Texas Hill Country slavs were Sorbs, not Czechs!"

They probably think I'm a Spellus-like figure now. :Embarrass:
