That's a pretty boneheaded thing to say.

My fiancee has had an irregular retirement fund plan because she's worked eight years at her parents' business, where they projected her working until spinsterhood or she found a husband to marry into the business. Stealing her away disrupts this plan, and so her savings thus far were entrusted to me by her father, to see for her safekeeping and well-being.

So he said, but the real takeaway was our relationship was legitimized by the elegance and and old-world charm of receiving a dowry. :)

That makes no sense. In Japan the woman traditionally controls the family finances.

I know right
I intend to continue the tradition anyway, within reason; having her manage the tedium of bookkeeping and paying bills is well within my intention.

So basically the old man wants you nowhere near the family business? :P

Just been for a stroll to 23-24 Leinster Gardens, the façade where a scene in the last episode of Sherlock was recorded.

Frequently wearing becoming attire is one of her many delightful attributes. She even recognizes Stannis as the rightful ruler of Westeros!

Actually wasn't there that youtube video recently where they had an attractive guy go up to women for sex and then likewise and attractive woman?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxyySRgrYsU (guy)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JJFBtHcBnM (girl)

I feel like the guy wasn't trying very hard. Approaching groups of women isn't likely to work. Also, not once did he show off his tongue abilities like the guy in Scarface.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)
