The poop that was promised plopped in the bowl
absent fanfare or attendant applause
this formless clump carried a noble role
exiled from home to serve its master's cause

After forcing it out of myself
I was loathe to send it down to the depths
poor recompense for saving my health,
this poor brown baby left out on the steps

Ugly but faithful, like a mormon wife
I could not bear to see it go
That mishappen mound may have saved my life
my little chocolate quasimodo

Unflushed, my semisolid saint endures over all
Until such time as another comes into the stall
That was beautiful.

That's actually some of Lettuce's better work.

The poem, or its subject?  :hmm:

Back from Turkey where I attended my brother's wedding and spent 4 days trekking through Cappadocia with a random German dude and a random Chinese girl.

So...what was it like?  Cappdocia sounds like a place with lots of sheep, were there sheep?

Both.

Epic match fixing:

Nigerian players banned for life in match-fixing scandal

Players and officials of clubs involved in two Nigerian promotion play-off games that ended 79-0 and 67-0 have been banned for life.

Plateau United Feeders were 79-0 victors over Akurba FC while Police Machine FC demolished Bubayaro FC 67-0.

The four clubs have been banned from the game for 10 years.

A Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) committee recommended that match officials involved in the two matches should be given life bans.
How much? Some notable footballing thrashings

Plateau United Feeders and Police Machine went into the matches level on points, with promotion to the lowest tier of the Nationwide League Division at stake

If girls inherit equally, then why are #5 and #8 ahead of #11?

And who the fuck are #5 and #8?
It's not retrospective. Otherwise the heir would be Anne not Charles and this baby wouldn't matter, they'd just be Lord ... Windsor not Prince whatever.

You sure?  That little chart thingy says Charles is two years older.

You're right. I always thought Anne was first.

Another I notice from the chart: Colin Firth does not look much like George VI.

There were lots of tourists and backpackers, but didn't see any sheep. The place itself is a little too touristy for my taste, but it's also beautiful.

What really made the vacation was connecting with random strangers, though. If I had just taken the tours I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it that much. I can see why my brother likes couchsurfing so much.
