Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.

Interesting scenario. Immediate thought is that it would've been better for all three parties.

How would it have been better for Greenland, do your think?

Americans subsidies and as a territory, low taxes.  I don't see how it benefits the US much though.

America needs to annex more white people to stem the black/brown/yellow tide.

Greenland is not very white (except the snow).

Indeed. So it would actually contribute to a red tide? :(

Cold War military bases? ^^^

The US can have military bases in Greenland without owning it.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Even if it were, the population is lower than your typical suburb.

The only thing we would gain is some more jobless native Americans.  We already have those in spades.

It's the simplest part of verb conjugation.  It'd be great if everything happened in the past tense in Russian.
