@CdM: Apparently every Germany eats about 0.5 kg of rabbit meat per year. I honestly can't remember when I had it the last time. Must be a decade or so.

Geese are a popular christmas/St. Martin's Day dish. I like duck, but I think I mostly have it when eating Chinese.

Rabbit, I think, isn't as popular as it used to be.

Yeah, now that I think about it, it's probably a generational thing, as my grandfather was big on his hossenfeffer.

So big, in fact, my grandparents cooked my Mom's pet rabbit;  told her it got sick and died.  Didn't fess up until years later.

What the fuck!? That's just wrong!

And why would you ever admit that if you did it?
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Mom had it quite rough growing up.  They weren't finalists for Parents of the Year.

I never had duck before going to Korea, it's fucking awesome.

  Sadly something that is rarely available here in the USA.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

My Mom had no problem skinning/guttin rabbits, but her Mom had to kill them first.

In our family, cats are also known as "Polish roof rabbit", because supposedly cat meat is very similar to rabbit, and during/after WW2 more than one cat ended up in the soup pot.

Bombings in Pakistan killed 115 people today. Also, 5 people were killed by a U.S. missile strike. :)

I see duck pretty commonly on Asian restaurant menus.  In fact, the two closest Asian (Thai / Japanese and Thai / Chinese) restaurants to me that aren't just sushi joints, both have duck on the menu.

I like goose, duck and rabbit. But I don't think I eat any of them that regularly. Maybe goose every other Christmas.

I've had goose at Jewish holiday celebrations once or twice.  Wish I saw it around more.  I also used to sometimes get Peking Duck at Chinese restaurants, but it was both expensive and really ostentatiously fatty, so it was only an occasional thing.

Every week at school I have to record a little program for the school pa system where I talk about wherever. I've been told I need to have a little theme tune before I start. So. I need to think of a song with an awesome intro that would work well for this purpose. Suggestions?
