We had brunch yesterday.

He excused himself to the bathroom, and twenty minutes later I realized I was paying. :(

Any one seen Mono lately?

He posted in his own thread ~18 hours prior to this post.  :P

Have a care for your health, ide! You'll be a bitter[er] man once you are irrevocably crippled.

I think I'm going to buy a motorcycle.

ffs why?

I want something cooler to drive than my 1999 Toyota Camry and motorcycles are comparatively inexpensive.

Pros versus car: cheap, insurance wouldn't be too bad afaik, can buy brand new so need not worry about poor maintenance, at least until I get my hands on it, no sense in trading in my actual automobile, won't get dumb seatbelt tickets every few months driving it, stupid women like motorcycles.

Cons versus car: car can be used to buy groceries, cars provide protection from elements and other cars, stupid women still like cars, just possibly not as much, I do not know how to operate a motorcycle beyond the theoretical principle that two wheels, in motion, suffice to balance the vehicle.  Oh, and the clutch is on the handle.

Maybe I'll just buy a new car.  How does a Camaro sound?  A LITTLE SOMETHING LIKE THIS VRROOOOOM

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

How about wearing your fucking seatbelt you mouth breathing moron? Else you won't be able to breath, what with the steering column impaling you through the chest.

Wow.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Oh, I remember this quiz.  It's Breton.

I forget sometimes, especially on my mile and half, 35mph commute.

Stop that.

I got two since November is all and I was just making a little joke.  I ordinarily wear my belt, obviously, but Christ, you guys can get all wrought up over the most mundane shit.

Ide don't be a moron and fasten your seatbelt. If you think you don't need it, loan a bicycle, accelerate to 35MPH with it (go down a hill if you are weak), and hit a parking car or something. Analyze the result on your hospital bill.

Going to the Questing Beast's house tomorrow. It seems today was her birthday, which passed my notice. It is just as well- I wouldn't have wanted to ruin her birthday by showing up.

I am not very excited about going off to see her, and it will be a long walk, but it is something of an obligation. One can't very well tire of the Questing Beast; the very nature of such a creature is that it must be quested after with unfailing vigour. Once I get to Japan, I will be free of such obligations.

I wonder what I should get her? I'm leaning towards a bag of skittles.

I think you overstate your case, to the detriment of your argument.
