Languish, my name should be mud! I mentioned recently my extreme discomfiture at the accidents I inflict upon my roommate- today, given a simple task, I scraped his car, newly given to him by his grandfather.

Of course i'll take responsibility, but the pained irritation in his face is unbearable. I'd much sooner take on the damages myself, but fond feeling for him and a deep sense of remorse for my perpetual incompetence doesn't stop me from creating fresh bad news to take to him.

No, you're beneath even mud.  Oh and you're even more damaging to the gay cause than Marti.

That'd hurt more if it didn't come from garbon.

I really can't do enough for my dear roommate, and yet lately I keep messing up. I'm a clumsy fellow, and we've had a lot of moving to think about lately. His father is overenthusiastic about volunteering me for things beyond my inadequate hikikomori sensibilities, which we've both mentioned to him, and this was the case in this latest venture as well.

Of course, it'd be a bad feeling to be so incompetent and infamously unreliable you couldn't be asked to assist in the simplest of tasks, but for the time being i'd be much happier if I was not put in any situations where I might conceivably hurt the dear roommate or his things. Handling heavy objects- yes, handling them with roommate supporting the other half- not so much

I use to think that was impossible, but now....

Well at least Marti has money that he donates to the cause.

Normally the voice I imagine when reading your posts is kind of Truman Capote-ish.  That works really well with these two :)

the gay cause  :P
I didn't even see that part until just now. Feeling a bit shaken up, but that made me smile. My roommate understands my feelings, even if languish doesn't. That is the most important thing.

It's a shame my roommate doesnt go in for bowing. I, at least, would feel better if I could've done a proper dogeza bow, but he would've thought it an inappropriate and absurd element.

300 km? Exagerating, much?
  Maybe.  I've read that Ryanair have been told a few times by advertising standards that they couldn't say they were flying to x city because they weren't.

The most egregious case for that is when Ryanair takes you to "Vienna", when they're really flying to Bratislava.
The Seoul International Airport is in Incheon, that's about an hour away as well.

Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.

My roommate sent me a youtube video! This is the unspoken way of communicating that things are fine, he isn't furious, and he accepts the trouble I bring to his door as part of the framework of an amae relationship. His clemency is a rejuvenating thing, and I can be happy again. :)

This is extraordinary satire, or a bizarre attempt to show that Mitt Romney really does understand the average American better than Barack Obama:

I love the way she says it all too.  You'd need Meryl Streep to catch the layers of condescension under that.

aaah kids today. In my day we only dreamed of sending roommates youtube videos to communicate our thoughts. :hmm:

I don't even believe you. Boys don't tell each other they aren't mad anymore- that sort of thing is best expressed indirectly.

The american male is not typically at liberty to say how he feels to his friends.

The Orvillecopter has been all the rage in my Outbox.  :D

I found a dead cat about an hour ago in the parking garage.  A kitten, really, I don't think more than about three months old.  I tried to wake him up, because I thought maybe he was sick or knocked unconscious, but he just moved in one piece like he was made of plastic, because rigor had already set in.

So, I think I'm gonna go ahead and not find this very amusing. :(
