Habbaku

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

I just had 4 shots of scotch with my usual dinner of two plates of sushi.  I am:  a lightweight.  An embarrassment to my people.  :(

I'm going on 10 shots of vodka... but I'm terrible with whiskey, so I'm an embarrassment to my people.  :( Was Bart's funeral before or after he made supreme court justice?

Habbaku that's fucking amazing!

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

That .5% related to Genghis Khan strikes me as very wrong. Its probally more like .5% chance you're not related to him (Well....say 10). That .5% IIRC is just the direct male line.

I wonder if Jackson really owned a bright purple suit.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Savonarola

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

I remember when we posted this the first time. I think said something along the line of "How hard do you think Obama is trying not to look?"

You're meant to look even harder, look beyond the ass, you're reading that sign which happens to be located right near her ass which you never at all noticed. :contract:

Tomorrow will be: Crazy.
Flying to Bristol early in the morning, in the afternoon is a job interview and a presentation that I've been trying to prepare for for the past few days, then flying back home in the evening.
Luckily the company is paying for my flight. Which I hope is a good sign.  And I hope I did what they wanted in my homework.

Good luck.
