I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Finally Andorra gets enough land to raise a proper army.
I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

I've just realised there's something for my list of things to do. Sort out my wardrobe.
It's full of work shirts hanging up.... That I just don't wear in the age of WFH. They need folding and storing with only one or two left hanging for emergency... Something.

No this seems to be doing the rounds on som crazy North American TikTok.

They don't have a whole theory of time just that there's a lack of primary sources for the existence of Rome or Latin so it was actually all written in the Medieval period (and put in a canon by the Inquisition) - presumably because that's when surviving copies of texts (copied by monks) actually date to?

It's mad but less coherent than the Russian guy.
Let's bomb Russia!

I think the hospital stole my shoes.  I can't go outside now...
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

They're trying to keep you in the safest place possible, outside in late November is iffy.

Raz, hope it goes well.

I saw that Tik Tok (hillarious that she actually used a latin phrase and an expression from Juvenal during her "reasoning"), it's not exactly a very well fleshed out theory. I wonder if there's more stuff besides that, so we can check on the madness that it is.

You're thinking about Luxembourg. There's no such a place as Lichtenstein City.
