Actual bamboo fiber, or bamboo rayon like those sold by "Bamboo Sport"?  Bamboo rayon can't be produced in any country with environmental regulations because the process is so toxic.  I will never buy socks made from that shit.  Even plastic is more environmentally friendly.  I don't believe I've seen an actual bamboo fiber sock advertised, but I'd be interested to see some info on such a sock.

Interesting - I would very much doubt I've ever had a pair of socks that's lasted more than a couple of years.

I can only think of a couple of possible contenders for that honour over the last 40 plus years - both sets being wool socks rather than cotton IIRC.

Yeah, I remember being gobsmacked with the Old English episodes on this channel because of the incredible sense of connection that I as an Icelander felt to the Old English language.

On those "What can people understand" bit, do they do one comparing different sorts of English speaker? As I found I got a lot more Swedish than most English speakers did with my northern basis. Alas not as much as my grandfather would have.

Just watched the Latin Vs. Romance languages and it's pretty interesting. It's quite unique to see Latin being spoken fluently, and quite understandable to boot (at least for a Romance language speaker).
