The definitions appear to vary by area, so I thought that swedes were the small ones and turnips the big ones.....but that conflicts with your info. But, as a child I lived in Northern England, Southern England and Scotland (which I think you did as well); so one ends up with several different definitions and completely confused.

To me swedes weren't anything. I never encountered them and had only vaguely heard of them. Always assumed they were some completely unrelated other type of vegetable.
Never liked turnip though. Only ever eat it with haggis.

The UK ads are very similar except there will be a section thanking NHS workers (occasionally with an offer for them and occasionally they mention other key workers).

Also the "in 75 years", "in 80 years", "in 90 years" is far, far less common here. A couple of the banks play up heritage but that's about it.
