Eh, I get similar reactions when I reveal I don't know how to swim. It's not a skill you're born with. If you don't have a reason to learn you don't learn.

I do know how to ride a bike, but I don't because it hurts my knees. It also took many, many failed attempts to learn. Trying a couple times and giving up doesn't mean you're not suited for it. It just means you gave up.
