By the way, does anyone still play Europa Universalis here? I recently started a new game as Castile, aiming to reach 95% admin efficiency. Fun.

QuotePolitical Compass: Edwardian Edition
Your Result: Lloyd George Liberal
You are one of the 'New Liberals' who supports firebrand Welsh orator and rising star Lloyd George. You think that old-school laissez-faire Gladstonian Liberalism was not sensitive enough to the needs of the poor and workers, who cannot be free while they are so poor. You want to see the Liberal Party support social reforms such as national insurance and old age pensions, and tax the rich to do so. You're not a socialist, and see these kinds of reforms as a way of stopping radical socialist reform - but you do genuinely want to alleviate the lot of the working man. You support Church disestablishment (especially in Wales) and aren't terribly keen on spending too much on armaments. You support Home Rule but aren't quite so keen on female suffrage, which you profess to support but ultimately aren't prepared to do much to actively make happen. Examples: Lloyd George, Winston Churchill
Result Breakdown:
84% Lloyd George Liberal
71% Irish Nationalist (Irish Parliamentary Party)
58% Labour - Patriotic Trade Unionist
48% Suffragist
46% Chamberlainite Tory Tariff Reformer
45% Suffragette
29% Labour - Radical/ILP
24% Establishment Balfourite Tory
14% Tory Die-Hard/Ulster Unionist

I kind of feel like I let BB down :(

I see it's too late for Liberal Unionism to be an option.

QuoteYour Result: Tory Die-Hard/Ulster Unionist 91%

You are a wildly reactionary Tory aristocrat who is determined to 'die in a ditch' to uphold the rights of the hereditary peerage, stop all social reform, and generally foil these ghastly Liberal radicals and, even worse, these dreadful uppity workers. You oppose the People's Budget, and you are a 'ditcher', voting against the Parliament Act 1911. You oppose trade unions, women's suffrage and want to keep the Irish firmly under the thumb. Hierarchy, traditional social order and property rights must be maintained! Later on, you incorporate sturdy Protestant Ulster Unionists opposing Rome Rule, like Edward Carson. Ulster will fight, and Ulster will be right! Examples: Hardinge Giffard, 1st Earl of Halsbury; Earl of Selborne
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

"You're a socialist who believes that only a co-operative brotherhood of men and women, abolishing competition, markets and private enterprise, can save us. You also support pretty much every radical cause going - you're anti-war, you're pro-female suffrage, you're pro-Home Rule, and you're probably a teetotaller who doesn't smoke and you may even be a vegetarian. You make yourself very unpopular when you oppose the First World War, arguing against 'a worker on each end of a bayonet'. You're a member of the Independent Labour Party, you support militant trade unionism, and you're probably a Dissenter who is all in favour of temperance reform. You almost inevitably have a beard.Examples: Keir Hardie, Victor Grayson"

I used to be so radical back in the old days

Your Result: Establishment Balfourite Tory

81% result

You're a weary but sophisticated Tory establishment figure who wishes to ensure that, in an age of upheaval and alarming change, as little happens as possible and the importance of politics is kept as low as possible - because after all, 'Nothing matters very much, and few things matter at all.' You oppose the rise of the Labour Movement and the more radical Lloyd George Liberals, but you'd prefer to bore them into submission and manage them carefully rather than provoke them into outright confrontation. As such you 'hedge' over the Parliament Act of 1911, allowing the power of the Lords to be broken. Examples: Arthur Balfour, Lord Lansdowne

59% Chamberlainite Tory Tariff Reformer

36% Tory Die-Hard/Ulster Unionist

15% Lloyd George Liberal

12% Labour - Patriotic Trade Unionist

10% Suffragist

4% Irish Nationalist (Irish Parliamentary Party)

2% Suffragette
0% Labour - Radical/ILP

It's interesting that I got so high for "Tariff Reformer" given I know I didn't give the "Chamberlainite" answer to the main questions that concerned it.

I still play it from time to time. It's bloated in a way, but I really enjoy it nevertheless.

Agreed on "bloated." But it's also easier than before, I've been able to finally get One Faith and The Three Mountains, with time to spare...

... though I did not, in fact, choose "a worker on each end of a bayonet" but rather "the worker's patriotic duty to support the war".

The quiz sucks. It's too obvious what each result is leading to. Some outright say "no not that issue. What about this unrelated one"
