Yeah sorry. With "starting" I meant "just arrived in Germany".  :blush:  Most people I know working there did have previous experience.
Ok. No idea what exactly a "technician" is, but earning €50k doesn't seem to unlikely.

I was thinking of anyone with some kind of higher education (not necessarily engineering/uni) who does reasonably complex technical work. The people I know do things like SAP consulting, high powered-laser commissioning, software development (both regular and industrial), project design/documentation ...

Zanza

SAP consultants with experience will make 70-120k, software development maybe 50-100k. No idea about the laser stuff, project documentation can be low-level administrative stuff or being the project manager with a huge range of possible incomes.

I'd probably be getting home just about now.

Ugh...gross.

Just rent a room in a love hotel and sleep in a real bed.
...a manga cafe is gross but a love hotel isn't?
One has a clean bed and the other doesn't.
It sounds more comfortable (and more expensive) certainly.
But the choice of the word 'gross'....That applies far more to love hotels.
Plus going to a love hotel alone would really make me feel crappy. May as well go to a capsule hotel if I'm splashing out.

Wow. I really wish my job had let me have a go at SAP. That sounds lovely. I could support a full football team of kids on that.

SAP is really big around here due to all of the local manufacturing.  Princesca uses SAP at work (she is in the alcohol manufacturing business).

SAP = BARF

And it's S.A.P.;  they hate it when it's called "SAP".  :lol:

Just went out to sit in the garden at dusk, to catch the swallows wheeling and screaming about the house; for some reason they do this for only 2-3 minutes shortly after sunset.   :bowler:
