The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

A money depot was robbed outside Stockholm early this morning. The criminals came by helicopter, landed on the roof, and used explosives to enter the vault. Then they took their helicopter and left, having beforehand sabotaged a nearby helicopter base so that the police choppers did not pursue. :huh:

There is now talk of possible money shortage in the Stockholm area for the upcoming pay-day weekend.

Some say there could have been a billion crowns in the depot (~150 million usd).

Spontaneously the mind goes to ex-militaries from the old soviet block or ex-yugoslavia.
