I couldn't even watch that show about the 1% without nerd interruption.

Some guy I work with has a 'stand up' desk. He doesn't sit down at all during the day.

He also always mentions he can't bring himself to eat processed food. He has large bags of almonds and avocados and stuff in his lunch bag. :(

Also, this gem popped into my Facebook feed from one of my Mormon...associates at work:

Quote
Helaman 5:2 For as their laws and their governments were established by the voice of the people, and they who chose evil were more numerous than they who chose good, therefore they were ripening for destruction, for the laws had become corrupted.

Sounds like a troublemaker.

I really wish you'd treat your brainwashing Mormon buddies the same way you treated your customers and coworkers at the JITB.

I can't. They all know where I live. It's in their central registry.

Then what's the problem?
Ah Ide and your love of teenage boy bodies.

But no, its not a major major problem. Beggars can't be choosers and all that. As said I'm being self aware with my inability to ever be happy when things go well.

This is getting out of hand. After over an hour of laying quietly in bed, I got up because I couldn't sleep until I had written a sonnet about the decline of the south.

I hope to have it posted here when I am done- and I also hope to stop thinking about it soon.

Edit:
Here we are. italian sonnet form, and its bad, but at least now i've soothed my conscience and can get some sleep.
edit edit: I mean, this is REALLY bad. When was the last time I made a sonnet so poor? I suppose it can't be helped, but its hard to leave it as it is and go back to sleep..

Quote
"We've entered an age of evening calm"
such was my hope, and so I had said
for the south's best sons had gone ahead
for their sake, I would sooner embalm
our present culture, that past aplomb
might linger in the present's stead;
our actions demean the honoured dead
for whom I made this consoling psalm

In defeat our dignity declined
we cannot preserve what you once were
to mire in an eternal malaise-
what a wonder, to be so consigned!
But it seems our proud people prefer
infamous acts in their final days
It can't be helped...We'll have to use 'that'

Sherman didn't have a time machine, so Lettow's probably safe.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

ORLY MR PEABODY?

I don't get the reference. I can only assume that makes you old.

I was under the impression you're older than me, and I got it.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.
