Why do you always blame the victim?

Well I don't blame her for getting trapped on a ride, that's obviously not her fault.  Getting on a ride that terrifies her (even when functioning properly) seems like a bad idea though.

Maybe she was facing her fear.

I think one is supposed to use graduated exposure though. :D

Were they impersonating Americans at the polling place?  Didn't think they were open so early in Iowa.

The story said they had voted once before and were registered now to vote.

It was a four sentence story on the radio, so don't expect me to give you War and Peace.

Early (absentee) voting starts up sometime late this month.

We've had a Canadian pretend to be a Michigan Governor. All she could do was write EH? on the bills coming to her desk.

Real question here: Are cable providers in Europe as terrible and hated as they are in America?

I don't know; here in UK the battle is between Sky(actually a satellite broadcaster) and Virgin media(cable, but only in the conurbations), whilst a significant proportion of the population just rely on free to air digital terrestial tv/internet streaming.

I think the competition between the above named providers is reasonably real, don't know about their customer service.

I get cable internet service.  It's fairly reliable.  It will stop working once a day, guaranteed.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
