(this sounds very exciting but it's more a case of 300 sheets of paper that need to be carefully checked)

I'll see your paper shuffling shenanigans and raise you a party hosted by accountants.

Bring the paperwork, we will help you review it.  ;)

Accountant's party?  Didn't Oingo Boingo do that song?

Not wearing shorts and white socks you can't.

In fairness these guys are forensic accountants and some of them aren't all that dull.

One of the big four, I take it? I would say they are dull, only different way dull - less nerd dull, more asshole dull. The words "synergy", "escalate" and "resource" will probably be spoken a lot. :P

No, a small London outpost of a US firm. I use a couple of the partners for expert witness work.

I work very close to Horseguards so could have a swift coffee with any Languish party that does decide to watch it.

I saw that. They had a sharply dressed military band playing Star Wars. That was weird.
Quote"This is a Russian warship. I propose you lay down arms and surrender to avoid bloodshed & unnecessary victims. Otherwise, you'll be bombed."

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

Summary of meeting/eating/drinking suggestions. Could someone please decide on a place and time and I'll book it. Preferably one of our visitors rather than us hackneyed Londoners!

Pubs with food:
The Old Shades, Whitehall http://www.faucetinn.com/old-shades/
The George, Southwark (London Bridge) http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/george-inn/
The Portherhouse, Covent Garden http://www.porterhousebrewco.com/
The Anchor, Bankside (London Bridge) http://www.taylor-walker.co.uk/pub/anchor-bankside-southwark/p0977/
The Ship, Holborn http://www.theshiptavern.co.uk/
The Swan, Holborn http://www.theshiptavern.co.uk/
Cittie Of Yorke, Holborn http://www.theshiptavern.co.uk/

Warspite's eatery suggestions:
Port Side Parlour - really good tapas place, very good wines too.
Bianco (on Northumberland Ave) - cheap but very good pizza restaurant.
Strand Dining Rooms - a bit pricey but it has a very nice Old World feel to it (think Strand 1920s).
Herman ze German - German-style sausage shop. It's actually really good (on my fifth loyalty card now...).
If you wander up to Covent Garden, some good places there too including Brasserie Blanc and Salvador and Amandas.
