Afghanis didn't win. They were losing and kept on losing so badly that Trump wanted a way out that even Biden kept it. After being abandonned, they lost even more.

Oddly I also lived through those days, like many here and I don't remember hearing any Europeans making Raz's made up quotes, though perhaps I'm wrong and he can point us towards reputable news reports from the time?
