Hobbit 3

Wonderful wrapping over a mostly empty box.  And the one scene I was really looking forward to, Galadriel's confrontation with Sauron, was botched IMO.

Let's hope Peter Jackson is tired of Middle-Earth so he no longer meddles.  <_<

We've had the first argument of Christmas over which Bond film to watch. Family's now split into two rooms watching different films.

The Spy Who Loved Me. This isn't rocket science.

What are the options, which room are you in, and has anyone been called a Judas cunt yet?

All of them. I'm with my mum watching Roger Moore. Inexplicably other people are watching Timothy Dalton (). Not yet, but the season's young.

It's a nice, seasonal insult, no?

If you're going to be watching Bond flicks, why on earth are you not watching either Connery or Craig, or maybe On Her Majesty's Secret Service?

mongers

Just watched 'Cash' a mildly diverting French comedy crime caper with Valeria Golino and Jean Reno.

Speaking of Bond, Skyfall was on British TV tonight. The wonderful Mark Simpson (queer writer, originator of metrosexuals, retrosexuals, spornosexuals and more) tweeted his old piece on the glorious camp of that film:

Edit: And I'm very much looking forward to reading his latest Kindle single, End of Gays.
