Easier to buy than the same claim by 11B.

Sorry, never seen Mad Men. Unsure what claim you mean.

The claim Berkut just made about a character in the show in the post PW was responding to.  That he gets every woman he comes across.  So...that true for you?

Not to my knowledge, but let Wiggins chime in.

The original Wicker Man gets a lot of deference, but there's a lot of unintentional hilarity in it too, to be frank. Naked Britt Ekland is truly hot, but that scene is a huge WTF :D

Logs onto Mr.Skin....

What song is she singing....

hmm.....Britt Ekland was pregnant during filming, so that's a body double filling in for her ass.

I find that with 90% of British films from the 70s. Something happened.

The music even sounds a little like Grandstand :o
Let's bomb Russia!

Actually, Ide should really see "The Final Option";  Judy Davis' terrorists are his kind of people.   :D

Admiral Yi

Interesting to learn that they used to cast Judy Davis as a hottie.

Also excellent Galaxy Quest diving rolls.

I gotta say that CdM's apparently bottomless reservoir of 70-80s military thrillers never stops astounding me.

When it's 1982 and you're 12, that's all that's on HBO, and that's all that matters.  :D

TWD, what a weird episode.
Yeah. The villains aren't really all that villainy (except the apparently good doctor). Which is a nice change.
They are running an indentured servant dystopia where the good doctor arranges for another doctor to be killed so he cant be replaced.

As I said, except for the doctor.
The whole setup they've got there.... it really isn't outright evil. They're not cannibals, they're not murdering soldiers to try and keep power and performing odd experiments on walkers.
They're the most ambiguous major villains we've had. As you say more of a dystopia than bad, bad, bad.

I'm not sure it's all that ambiguous...sure it just seems like a modern form of feudalism (doctor is like the clergy, and the cops are the lords/knights, and then the workers are the serfs)...but since they've moved rather quickly into "serfs are also sex/rape slaves to the knights".  Pretty much the worst form of feudalism you can image.  Prima nocta all over the place.
  Ah, the Falklands.  The only decent war fix for a kid, because Reagan wouldn't do more than lob a few shells from the New Jersey into the Bekaa Valley.  All smacktalk, no action.
