The early indication is the building either wasn't properly reinforced for the additional construction being layered on top, or the additional construction exposed weak support columns that were fine without the additional load.  So, basically what DGuller said.

So I took a math test and got highest ranking, so I can do anything I want for job training.  Also I lost 15 pounds in the last two months and my A1C is back in the normal range.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I'm trying to do some training so I can get a job were I'm not so poor.  I was looking at truck driving, and If I can't do that maybe HVAC work.

On the plus side, being poor does means I don't eat a lot.  I do like working at the grocery store.  People find me strange but tolerable for the most part.  I bring everyone donuts once a week so they put up with me.  Also, I'm the only employee to have the presence to bring a slide whistle to work and fake mustaches.  Essential for working in a deli.

Is that a British thing?  I've never heard of that.  Commercial driver's license jobs pay fairly well, 24 dollars an hour isn't terrible.  Long haul truckers pays very well, but it's a lonely life.  I'm thinking of something like driving dump trucks, doing deliveries for Pepsi.  I don't think I would make into the middle class or even the upper class like you, but I would be able to afford food and shelter.

Josq isn't posh, money can't buy that; he's young, upwardly mobile, tech middle class' think a couple of notches below Open AI workers buying $2million apartments in the SF Bay area.  :bowler:
