What does a BIDEN Presidency look like?

Given the "now we can reveal" stuff months after it could make any difference, but helpfully in time for new books, I think a period of silence on the part of Biden staffers and cabinet members wouldn't go amiss.

I know I bang on about it, but it's profoundly corrosive for the Democrats and the press. There needs to be a real accounting over it.

Biden's press secretary comes out as a piece of shit. Like read the room. This is not the time.

She never came across as one of the extremely rare Press Secretaries with integrity and courage.  From the blurbs, it appears that she was one of the delusional people who helped convince Biden to run again.
The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

Everybody involved in the cover-up and getting Biden to run again needs to, at the very least, have their career in politics ended.

But nothing ever seems to happen inside the Democrats. Proven losers and failures get to hang around for decades.

Does anything ever seem to happen inside the Republicans?
Worst case scenario, they leave for an extremely well paying job to the private sector.

Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio, Ron DeSantis, they all walked over their principles.  These are the 3 I can name rn without digging.

Most people who work in politics are horrible people.  Good people aren't drawn to professions like that, and if they are, they quickly wash out it seems.

It probably doesn't help the good ones that people just like to assume they're horrible people.  Horrible people don't like that assumption, but good people like that even less.

I disagree. I think lots of people go into politics for noble reasons. But the act of doing politics can, over time, force somebody to compromise their principles though. Particularly if your career is very long and successful.

Does comprising your principles over time transform one from being that person with noble intentions into a horrible person?

A noble person who none-the-less does horrible things and rationalizes it.

Granted unless you are at the very tip top of power it probably isn't an issue. I am pretty sure the guy who just became a state representative or a city councilman isn't out there bombing civilians or whatever.

Yeah, I think there are probably plenty of decent people involved in politics at the local level... I know a two city councilmembers and a judge, and there are fine people.

I think the higher up the political food chain you go, the less likely you are to find someone who isn't a total scumbag.

Is that specific to politics though?

There was this series of videos where Nancy Pelosi was early in her career calling for certain reforms he was elected to do and then contrasting that with ones from later in her career trashing those very reforms. I was thinking that is how it goes.

Ambition breeds certain traits. Or i guess those traits aid in ambition.
