I didn't know anyone else had seen that movie.  :D
It's Duque.  He has seen every bad movie since the 70s :P
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.

Slowly going through Black Mirror. Slow going as my partner insists she wants to see it but it stresses her out and depresses her.

Episode 2. Bete noire.
OK... But... Yes. Even more into Twilight Zone silliness.
They could have done more with the god like evil too. I was surprised there was no "how can you be chasing after me when you have no legs?" sort of moment.

Wrong. Even you, with your terrible taste, know and sometimes appreciate "masterpieces" such as Plan 9 from Outer Space.
Yes, that's pre-New Hollywood.  :D

The Last Picture Show (1971)

Cybill Shepherd's debut and the only film where she does a nude scene.  I give the film a B, but they're magnificent B's.  Cybill would go on to become bigger, but I don't think she was ever any better...... er, what was I talking about?

 ;)

This is based on a Larry McMurtry coming-of-age novel about a small oil town in Texas.  It's very much a New Hollywood film with a bunch of jump cuts, subplots that aren't resolved and no real conclusion to the film.  It's an actor's movie with four nominees for best supporting actor or actress (Jeff Bridges, Ben Johnson, Ellen Burstyn and Cloris Leachman, with Johnson and Leachman winning.)

The films only serious flaw is that I can never watch Cloris Leachman without thinking of Frau Blücher (whinny).
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Looks like wheel of time is cancelled. All the while that naff lord of the rings series, I haven't even bothered to watch series 2 yet, gets more billions.
