I can't believe this. An amazing regular season Caps team is flaming out in the second round of the playoffs. I don't think this has ever happened before.

Well...sure. It was a great surprise. But lots of the Caps top players are over 30. It isn't like this is the start of something great, but the end of something great. Maybe not the last hurrah, but getting close to it.

So going out in the second round sucks, especially as this is the normal fate of great Caps teams. Granted they aren't technically eliminated yet.
