How did this go from a discussion of the capitalization of financial institutions in Canada to the failure of American retailers in the Canadian market?

I feel like Canadians on this forum love to talk about the demise of Target.

That's fair.

They came in as saviours to our retail plight and left with their tails between their legs after a year.

Vegetables, fresh meat, milk, eggs, etc.

I didn't say they don't carry it,  said they do not all carry it.  Like the Wal Mart in my city does not have that.  They have biscuits, candies, canned soups, etc, but no refrigerated stuff.  They had ample opportunities to expand, more than once, and chose not to.  It's not because there's too much competition either, we're down to 1 grocery store.  Well, technically two, but they both are owned by Metro under different banners.

I worked with someone who was on the logistics team for the implementation. He was one of the dumbest people i ever met. Which goes some way to explaining things :D

Amazon is closing all 7 of its warehouses in Quebec. Mainly because they are crybabies that really really can't deal with an union. Amazon's retail business is such an unprofitable messed that they really can't afford Union bargained raise and work conditions.

I'm sad to losing 2 and next day shipping. Without it might as well use Temu.

Your second and third sentence kind of contradicts each other :P

Temu products are 50% lies and 50% lead

I consider it a horror show of all concerns as a consumer, timeliness, if packages show up, quality of what is purchased, similarity of what is purchased to object received, worker conditions and data privacy. Look at their wiki page.

It's just a baby bump though.

Like garbon said it's a bunch of cheap shitty made stuff (even by Chinese standards). That's if you even get what you thought you ordered.
