Yeah, I remember that he was in poor health and he hasn't been seen in a long time. 

At one point, I had tried finding an obituary...there are quite a few data points over the years that could be discerned from here.  Never found one that fit though.

I did the same thing. Ohio-based, lots of kids, rough idea of what he passed away from, and a decent understanding of when he might have passed. Never did find anything.

At one point, I had tried finding an obituary...there are quite a few data points over the years that could be discerned from here.  Never found one that fit though.

I did the same thing. Ohio-based, lots of kids, rough idea of what he passed away from, and a decent understanding of when he might have passed. Never did find anything. 

And the one thing with Ed though is he was so protective of his own privacy we really had no idea if some aspect of his story was complete BS.

I mean I do think he was sick, I do think he was from Ohio, that kind of thing.  But when he went on about his property in France, or some woman in France who also had his baby...

Who knows.  Sadly I do suspect that ole' Monkeybutt is no longer with us, whatever his true story ws.
