I think that lately the narrative among crypto nuts has changed from "this is a new money system, man" to "yeah, and a stock market isn't a Ponzi scheme?".

But the reason it was done on that date was clearly because of revenge for the non-existant Jewish conspiracy bringing down the Kaiser, same with Hitler's coup attempt.

Btw, Kristallnacht (or Reichskristallnacht) has fallen a bit out of fashion in recent years as it was a term coined by the nazis and gave it a more "glamorous" name than it deserved. Reichsprogromnacht (Reich's progrom night) is a more accepted term these days, I think.
