Man, that's going to be a ferocious front five for the Ravens.  The question now is who is going to be playing the MLB spots?

There was chatter from the talking heads about the possibility of moving Upshaw inside, but I don't think that's wise.  I don't think he's got the skill set, but who knows;  they've modified players before, e.g., Boulware.

Dumervil and Suggs, coming from the outsides?  You can't double team them both.  Woof.

Fun fact:  The Ravens scored a better deal for Dumervil and his 63.5 sacks at 5yrs/$35m than the Browns did for Kruger, 1/2 season as a starter, at 5yrs/$40m.
That's why the Ravens are who they are, and the Browns are the Browns.

Lol.  Poor Browns.

Fun Fact:  The last time the Ravens won the Super Bowl they signed a free agent named Elvis.  Maybe Dumerville will work out better than Grbac.

CountDeMoney

Fun fact: the last time the Ravens won a Super Bowl, they plowed through New England, assbanging Brady in the 2nd half like the little prison whore he is.

Neil

Fun fact:  The internet tears of those who were trying to write the Ravens off are delicious.  Steelers and Broncos fans are furious.

Wow.  Elvis Grbac.  I think when I started following them, it was the Chris Redman show.  And then Boller and Anthony Wright started alternating for a few years.  You can almost understand the Boller thing.  I mean, the guy could throw a football through a brick wall.  He's like Joe Flacco if he was a spastic who couldn't take three steps without tripping over his own dick.

Does this mean Derspicy is gonna start rooting for Niners?

QuotePat White is looking for a shot to get back into the NFL and he might have found one.

The San Francisco 49ers will bring White in for a visit after he had a private workout earlier this month and then performed again last week at the West Virginia pro day. A second-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2009, White got a call from Niners head coach Jim Harbaugh, according to Jim Corbett of USA Today.

"Coach and I had a conversation about me coming in to work out,'' White told Corbett. "We haven't set up a formal date. I'm just going to make sure I keep working hard for when that day comes.

"I pay attention to how his players react to Coach Harbaugh. They all want to win for him. And he seems to treat them how they want to be treated. I'm excited to get to know him on that level -- if I do get that opportunity. I'm very optimistic about making it back to the NFL.''

White's career didn't pan out with the Dolphins and he has dabbled with baseball. But he's spent time recently training with quarterback guru George Whitfield Jr. in California, and Harbaugh is intrigued to take a look at White and consider him as a possible backup for Colin Kaepernick now that Alex Smith has moved on.

QuoteThe Pittsburgh Steelers told linebacker James Harrison that the team has no plans to re-sign him, a source told The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Harrison, 34, was cut by the Steelers on March 9 after he refused to take a pay cut. The five-time Pro Bowl player was scheduled to make $6.57 million in 2013.

Harrison has received very little interest in free agency, and he was taking a free-agent visit in Baltimore on Sunday when the Ravens agreed to terms with Elvis Dumervil.

Neil

Yeah, before Dumervil came free, I thought that he might end up as a Raven if he was willing to play for cheap, but I really don't see anybody giving a 34-year old rush linebacker with major discipline issues $5 million-plus a year.

CountDeMoney

Yeah, the Ravens have already let go of enough penalty flag magnets.  Don't need to add one.

So you are saying he's gonna end up with Da Raiders?

Baron von Schtinkenbutt

Or the Redskins.  With Lorenzo Alexander gone and London Fletcher iffy, Harrison is just the kind of player Dan Snyder would overpay for to fill the gap. :P

Yeah, I think that Mike Shanahan would rip his balls off like a paper towel.  Snyder, not Harrison.  These days, the Redskins won't be the same joke they have been for years.  We'll be laughing at them for different reasons, like their orange coach and the fact that they play in the worst division in football.

Sweet.  Needed that signing.

QuoteSome believe Huff, a former star at the University of Texas, wanted to go to the Cowboys but he left his visit to Dallas on Monday without a contract because the Cowboys only had about $100,000 in salary-cap space.
