I'm not sure that spending big money on a quality 2nd string QB is the best use of cap money when you're 1st stringer never gets sacked and never, ever, runs the ball.

The Pack picked up Rodgers because they felt that Favre was on the cusp of his career.  That's a different situation than Indy's.  More analogous to Young and Montana.

Young backing up Montana was pre-free agency. If you're going to use cap money as the premise, use a fucking post-1993 free agency example.

Terrible play call on 4th and a foot. :bleeding:

New England leads a charmed existence.  Goddammit I hate them so.

I assume that whoever's calling plays for Miami has money on the Patriots, because that was just crazy retarded.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

More & more teams seem to be pussing out like that, both in college and NFL.  I don't care what the matchup looks like, if you can't gain a few inches to a yard when you need it, you don't deserve to win the game anyway.

My setup in Cleveland, at the very back of the coaches box.  Had to watch most of the game through the little monitor.

I've got no problem with teams not running some up the gut slam play in that situation.  Fake a sweep and drag a tight end back across, or roll your QB out and do a run/pass option off the secondary's reaction.  But a long fade across the field?  Henne had just missed three fades by a quarter mile on that drive and he wasn't a lot closer on the last one.

Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Shit, put an RB under centre and run it right in, or QB sneak if you like.  This is what your line is paid for.

Yeah, but at least when you won, you got to celebrate a well-earned victory as a part of the team.  That must have been satisfying.

I kept telling myself it was going to be a long trip back home when it was 17-13, so yeah it was nice when things got turned around.  The cool thing was hearing them talk about setting up the trick play that put them ahead-- they kept telling Gradkowski to remember play X was coming up and then on 3rd & 11 started screaming the name of the play over the headset.  They snapped the ball way before I could shoot my pre-snap print.  By the time I got to my post snap prints, AJ Green was almost to the endzone.
