That's not true, at least not in genetic sense. It has been replaced by change induced because of culture and human-created environment (which is part of culture).

Gene pools to big for really big strides in evolution. Any large change, advantageous or otherwise, gets watched out in the see of alleles.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
