Actually, it was pretty widely talked about around here, but mostly we've all been cracking jokes about it.

They really should have put a time zone in that.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

...so either there's nobody devout east of India or its all rubbish.

I like the prank idea. Shame very few people around here would get it. Is it big news in the US- what with the people selling up and going mad and all that?
Lol, no.

I'm sure every other preacher in America quoted Matthew 24:36 last Sunday.
If every other preacher is talking about it then that would make it big news...

Just cause there's no righteous in your part of the world don't mean there's no rapture. I'm still 5 hours away from mine and I'm all set and ready to go. Packed sandwiches and everything, cause you never know if they'll feed you when you get there.

No, they were Polish Raptured.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Yes, but it's still not 2011 in Poland.

I woke up this morning to a really loud and shrieking alarm, like the kind I never heard. :o  It was what I imagine an air raid alarm would sound like if Russia sent ICBMs our way.  That was really scary, the thought of the end of the world crossed my mind.

Then I really woke up, and it turns that it was just my fire alarm acting up.
