This thread is nothing without CC's hyperbole. I guess he's gone? :(

Does anyone know what happened to CC?

I'll shoot him an email.  He's probably either just sick :( or on holidays. :w00t:

Received a reply.

QuoteThanks for checking up on me but everything is fine.  I have been having a busy spell lately and so haven't had much time to participate in languish.  To top it off shortly before I went dormant I changed my password and I now I can't seem to get it right.  I tried the recall password function but either I initially registered with a password I no longer use or the function doesn't work.

Could you speak to [katmai] about how to fix that?

I think this is more your angle though Neil.  How can CC get his account back?
PM me his email and I'll take care of it.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Having the government give tax breaks in exchange for jobs isn't exactly new or extreme.
it's what Quebec does all the time, and it's called socialism, and it's apparently the reason why so many Albertans wants us of the Confederation :)

I think it's more the attempts to steal our money.  And the French.  The laziness of the Quebecois doesn't really cause as much rage as the theft and the French.

And taking my money to give it to Albertans is not stealing?  How strange.

And the French.
True, it's one of Canada's founding principle that the French language should be eradicated from the face of the Continent.

Of course Québécois are lazy!  The more we work, the more we send money to your inefficient oil companies who apparently require subsidies to sustain themselves in the face of other companies who should not be subsidized.
I call that a theft.  And you support it, wich makes you a communist and a thief.  You should immolate yourself or something, unable to live with your guilt.

Nobody takes your money and sends it west.  All the money you pay and then some is consumed right there in Quebec.

And yes, the eradication of French, or at least your subservience to English is a crucial part of what it means to be Canadian.

Let's face it, Neil.  You like corporate welfare.  You just love subsidies.  If you were Ontarian, you'd be cheering for Mulcair.

Nothing new here, it's been like that since 1763.

Thanks BB and Neil for dealing with the issue.  The price I had to pay for readmittance was high and I thought twice about paying it but who can turn down a West vs the rest thread.

Josephus

Just want to point out...and check the thread...I WAS the one that missed you and sent out a search party. :)

Surely not that high?

A good piece in the Globe today on the damage Oda has done to the Conservative image as prudent caretakers of tax payer money.

You know, the one that created the majority government. :P

So The Economist has criticized Harper now.  Hopefully, this party will wake up and get its act together.
