Today was a waste half the day watching crappy netflix simple plot with just ok acting and good action movie day. Both of these entertained me enough: Brick Mansions and Homefront.

I may watch another crappy netflix movie tonight, just because.
Grand Duke of Lurkdom

I just saw the the two episodes of Breaking Bad and I understand the very positive reviews. I get an itch to binge watch. If it weren't for work and real life.

Syt

Finished the first season of House of Cards yesterday. I want to punch that English photographer in the face so badly. While most characters are despicable (but with some interesting or redeeming qualities), he's by far the most annoying one.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Watched Stretch. Funny movie.

PDH!

Watched my mate's movie, The Corpse of Anna Fritz, for the first time in a large screen. He's done a great work, amazingly effective thriller besides the controversial plot. He's also made it with the kind of money a proper production spends on mineral water.

First episode of the last kingdom - I feared the worst. They have rather killed it. The battles arent just small, they're nonsensical. Some comments are historically wrong (eg we used to rule from tweed to tyne! Err... thats modern Northumberland; not old bernicia, Cornwall is England,  etc...). Also everyone is posh. Such a shame.  I was at least hope for a Sharpesque cheap and cheerful piece

That's too bad. The books are very good, for genre fiction.

Fargo season 2, episode 1.

It's back! Kirsten Dunst looks to be a very good Martin Freeman substitute.

The Marine 4: Moving target

Quite similar to the first 3 ones.  Well, I've seen only the 1st, so what do I know? :D
Anyway.  Ex/Current WWE star plays a retired Marine now assigned to a private security firm.  For its first day on the job, he must escort some nerd babe chased by bad guys intent on killing her, apparently, though it looks, despite indication to the contrary, that they're doing their best to capture her alive.  Anyway.  They're chased by a WWE babe and some other random bad guys who proceed to get killed at regular interval.  The usual.
Entertaining despite the bad acting all accross the board.  I think that WWE guy was the best actor of the lot.  The WWE girl did not speak many words, so it's hard to judge.

The Holy Mountain (1926)

Oh Leni Riefenstahl, you will always be my favorite Nazi.

Before becoming a director Leni Riefenstahl starred in a number of "Mountain" movies.  They're all about the same; there's two men, Leni Riefenstahl, a love triangle and a mountain.  This is her first film.  In it Leni capitalizes on her fame as a dancer by doing a number of avant garde dances throughout the film.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

crazy canuck

Season opener for walking dead was excellent.  Well paced and a good introduction to what the rest of the season will have in store.  5 walkers out of 5.

So apparently Constantine will have a cameo on Arrow this season. I love it.

Will he see a vision of a cross in the sky and lead them to victory by that sign?

Gotta say, I may be starved for good tv series, but Flash, Gotham and American Horror Story have been amazing so far this season.

I wonder how long it took the makeup department to get those road shots ready.
