Let's use the list in another way. Which is the highest ranking movie that you have not watched?

Mine is "Singin' in the rain" at #8.

Same.  Seen bits.  I.e. the famous singing in the rain scene.

How about highest rank you've never even heard of?  #36, "Andrei Rublev."

Valmy

Some of the movies are so famous I was not even sure if I had actually seen them or not since I was so familiar with them.
Quote"This is a Russian warship. I propose you lay down arms and surrender to avoid bloodshed & unnecessary victims. Otherwise, you'll be bombed."

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

#75 Stairway to Heaven (A Matter of Life and Death)

Though all I know about Rublev is that I've seen it in other lists like this.

Been meaning to see Alien for a while, but Netflix doesn't have it streaming and video stores are pretty much dead. /shrug

It's a shame they never managed to show that one on tv, or make vhs/dvd copies of it.

#42, "Kind hearts and coronets".

That's one I'm also meaning to see, just to see if Alec Guinness can pull off 8 different parts.

#87 King of Comedy

Though #56 Casino Royale has no business being on the list either.

Tonitrus

I've been watching a fair bit of "pre-Hays Code" films on TCM recently (I've also seen a fair number of the later 40s-50s films too)...and the difference in what is permitted in a film is pretty stark...from the skimpy clothes on women and the sexual innuendos.

Also, early-30s Barbara Stanwyck in aforementoned skimpy clothes.  :perv:
