I'm just hoping that Ide will explain what was left out of Crash that needed to be in a different movie.  I skimmed his review (it's a couple thousands words about Speed Racer, I'm not gonna read it) and I didn't see an explanation.

It seemed to trace a bleak portrayal of the future, namely that our problems of class struggle are a constant, only the definition of class will change?

The strange clue/teaser about the episode was [spoiler]what the hell is up with the quadriplegic zombie collection.  The speculation I've seen is a reference to another weirdo group from the graphic novel (the Whisperers)...but that one is not supposed to show up until after they've reached Alexandria.[/spoiler]
