I haven't seen those movies, but I find Ide's continued shunning of John Wick to be alarming.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Edge of Tomorrow. Fun movie.

Speed Racer (2008).  Basically, Speed Racer is everything David Cronenberg didn't get to in Crash.  A+

What's that, credible positive race relations while inducing epileptic seizures?  Asshole.

I haven't read the book, but I find Ide's take-away from Cloud Atlas to miss the point. :P

Not Crash, Crash.

The Spaceballs TV show they made a while back was utter garbage.  Brooks should leave it alone.

More like bizzare sexual climaxes while inducing epileptic seizures.  :P

Not Crash, Crash.

Thanks, frunk.  Because the joke just simply would not have worked without your very special assistance.

Next you'll tell us that Paul Newman and Susan Sarandon starred in Twilight.

I'm just hoping that Ide will explain what was left out of Crash that needed to be in a different movie.  I skimmed his review (it's a couple thousands words about Speed Racer, I'm not gonna read it) and I didn't see an explanation.

It's a jokey observation about Speed Racer's use of colorful car crashes as nearly erotic ornamentation.

Did the rest of you folks not watch Cloud Atlas all the way through to the end, or something?

I did, but I am  about your take on it...
It seemed to trace a bleak portrayal of the future, namely that our problems of class struggle are a constant, only the definition of class will change?

Walking Dead
they just keep replacing the blacks
The strange clue/teaser about the episode was
what the hell is up with the quadriplegic zombie collection.  The speculation I've seen is a reference to another weirdo group from the graphic novel (the Whisperers)...but that one is not supposed to show up until after they've reached Alexandria.
