Finally saw the last Hobbit movie.  Way to much Legolas.  It was weird, there's this huge epic battle going on and we kind of forget it about it as we see some other guys fight on a mountain.  It isn't helped by the fact the whole thing could have been done in thirty minutes and been part of just one Hobbit movie.

I dunno.  They're both pretty great.

Anyway, thanks to Korea's endless LotR marathons, they're flicks I can more intellectually understand to be good than actually appreciate as such.  I saw them all in the theaters, but if I never see them again, it'll be too soon.

I've refused to engage with the Hobbit films entirely.

Yeah, it's a good film. For me probably worth a 2nd viewing in a few months time.

So I was on orders for 28 days and traveled halfway around the world and back, this included many flights including some very long international ones, also included long hours sitting in airports. Add to that 5 days of waiting for actual work to start in a base with little to do. I made a conscious effort to watch as many movies as I could. I really need to get around to watching Planet Terror one of these days.  I mean, Death Proof would easily make a top 10 of the 21st century, if not of all the films made after I was born.  Also, Zero Dark Thirty is an embarrassing blindspot.
