I think Gotham and SHIELD and the occasional movie more than meet my demand for superhero fiction. They should be careful about overextending.

Yet they still haven't found in themselves doing anything decent with The Punisher...  :(

Just in case we didn't have enough Chris Pratt in our screens, he's apparently being eyed for a new Indiana Jones movie.

Heh, now he's in talks to join a Magnificent Seven remake.

It's been long since the last decent western, and I like westerns. I just can't see how can they possibly get near the strength of the original cast, though.
True Grit remake was supposed to be pretty great wasn't it?
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I didn't feel it added anything to the original,  to be frank. It felt a bit pointless.

Agreed on that. I'm liking Arrow, SHIELD, and The Flash which I didn't think I'd like that much at first. I haven't really watched Gotham much though.

Yeah, the remake is certainly a good movie taken on its own terms, but True Grit wasn't a movie that needed to be remade.

Dumbo. I was getting a little bored 20 minutes in(and the mouse was kind of annoying), but it really picks up halfway through.

Excellent piece.  A bit overly dramatic on the early career thing--"by the time Cruise flew back to America, he'd been half-forgotten":  um, no....you knew exactly who Tom Cruise was.

QuoteJust 25, Cruise could already sense that quick fame was a curse: for every Robert Downey Jr. who transcended the '80s, there'd be a Judd Nelson, frozen in time.
